getting sticky

This week we carried on making our photo frames. This is some children sticking the pieces of wood together using card triangles. It was very tricky and we had to keep sticking them back together again.

In PE we played football. We worked with a partner, we had to dribble the ball round our partner and then shoot a goal through their legs. We had fun.

In history we looked at a BBC website to find out what Victorian houses were like.

This week we won the golden boot. We won the golden boot because nearly everyone in Y1 walked to school on Wednesday.

We sawed some wood to make a photo frame, next week we are going to stick the wood together. We had to measure the wood first.

On Thursday we all enjoyed looking at some maps on the computer. Some of us found our houses and we also went to Egypt and saw the pyramids.
If you want to see the maps some more click on this link below.

PE Week

This week was PE week so we did lots of different sports activities.

On Monday Debbie came to do some exercise with us. We were patting our heads and rubbing our tummies to exercise our brains.
On Tuesday we did May Day dances with our partners. At the end we got our Mums and Dads to dance.

On Wednesday we mixed up with Y2. The PE games we played were fun. These children are playing a car game called Beep Beep.

On Friday morning the whole school did a mix up. We played lots of different PE games.

On Friday afternoon we watched two men doing some judo. It's a bit like wrestling. Some of us had a go.

We have all been DASH pupils this week!
